What is One Community, One Book?
Part of our mission here at Kett’s Books is to make reading something the whole community can enjoy. As part of that, every year we choose a book we think we can all talk about – in our book groups, amongst friends, and with us in the shop.

Why should you read this book?
10 Marchfield Square is a witty and engaging murder mystery, which we think will appeal to new and experienced readers alike. The plot is equal measures charming and intriguing, and there’s a host of funny and slightly eccentric characters to meet along the way (we’re particularly big fans of the unlikely odd-couple dynamic between our amateur detectives, Audrey and Lewis). If you were a fan of our 2025 pick, A Case of Mice and Murder, this is another excellent venture into the cosy crime genre.

How do I get involved?
We have copies of 10 Marchfield Square available to purchase in the shop, so why not pick up a copy when you’re next in and give it a go! We’re also very excited to be joined by author Nicola Whyte on June 18th to discuss all things cosy crime – this a free event, and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible, so get in touch today if you’d like to reserve your spot!
