Historic Norfolk: Becket’s Chapel

Becket's Chapel is beautifully renovated Grade 1 listed building in the heart of Wymondham. It is available to hire for all sorts of community events, from meetings, talks and concerts to fairs, markets and private functions. It is a flexible, intimate space for wedding celebration ceremonies, memorials and naming ceremonies.

Becket's Chapel is one of Wymondham's most important heritage assets. The earliest parts of the building date from the 12th century and it has been an important part of life in the town for hundreds of years.

The chapel is home to Wymondham Arts from May to November and is available to hire between December and April. However, it may be available at other times of year with sufficient advance notice.

The Chapel can accommodate up to 100 people, seated theatre style. In winter three specially designed, unique glass chandeliers can provide instant infra-red heating to keep the chapel cosy and warm and the large leaded windows allow maximum light into the building.
