Richard’s initial flush of fascination for historic toilets began while working at Norwich Castle with its well-preserved Norman ‘garderobes’.  Forty years on, with a children’s book and many talks on the topic under his belt, he will share with U3A some faecal facts and dubious anecdotes dredged from the underbelly of history.
