Wymondham Magazine is proud once more to present the Spring Arts Festival programme of events around town – celebrating local creativity in all its forms.

And this year promises to be the best year ever for culture vultures in Wymondham. Here are just some of the highlights:

Arts and Crafts

• Animal portrait specialist Christine Lester gives a talk and demonstration on her pastel techniques
• Norfolk Creations exhibit the best in local arts and crafts talent
• Demonstrations on lace making and roman blind making by local enthusiasts
• Various exhibits of residents’ work around town

Theatre

• Wymondham Players tread the boards once more with their production of Agatha Christie’s ‘Murder In The Studio’

Music

• Wild horses couldn’t keep us away from a Not The Rolling Stones tribute gig in aid of local charities
• Ex-Services Club have a full programme of live music over the festival period, coinciding with their famous Spring Beer Festival
• Listen to organ recitals, choral music and string quartets in the impressive surroundings of Wymondham Abbey
• Ukulele Group invite everyone down to an open rehearsal at the Robert Kett pub. Bring your uke and strum along!

Photography

• The photographic society will be welcoming the public to come and listen to their expert snappers tell the stories behind their best work

Written word

• Your chance to meet and talk to local authors, who will be sharing their publishing journeys and creative processes at a special Meet The Authors event
