A little about the company -

Norfolk Football was founded in 2015 by Company Director, Paul Suggitt.

‘I have always been involved in sport, it’s in my blood! Football has been my sport since childhood playing for many clubs around the county over the years and being involved in some form or another.

My background has been in fitness coaching and personal training, which I have enjoyed doing for almost 20 years.  Working with players on a personal 1:1 level helping to development and improve their performance to coaching clubs & teams in pre-season with their summer training.

I have met some fantastic people over the years with playing and coaching and its now my pleasure to be able to help and supply kit, clothing & equipment to them for their clubs.

The two businesses work hand in hand, supplying the equipment to the club with knowledge of the product and to also offer some ideas with training how to maximise its usage and get the best from the clubs’ players with the fitness background.’

Norfolk Football started from his home address supplying local teams with team kits and the word soon spread with the business growing fast.

‘There must have been a gap in the market I guess, as we just kept getting more and more enquiries. The phone and computer didn’t stop!  It did make me think, well I must be doing something right!’

It wasn’t long before the business needed to move, Paul wanting to stay local and connected to the local teams he supplies, set up a portable showroom in Hethersett on the outskirts of Norwich from a previous building site office.  Cleverly converting the inside to a smart, sleek showroom, showcasing all the brands team wear with equipment and more.

‘I can’t remember where the idea came from, but I am glad it did, it has been fun seeing the business grow and working on the container was a hobby that kept me busy! The showroom is great and everyone is always surprised when they come in as they just don’t expect a fully kitted out shop like showroom when they enter.  It has a nice local, family, welcoming feel, exactly what the business is about.   There’s more to come though, with the next phase not too far away.’

Norfolk Football now looks after many clubs from start to finish, with semi-professional teams trusting and relying on NF for their team wear and equipment. Some smaller casual teams just have a kit and a few balls to some clubs boasting 30 teams, with a fully custom made kit, matching tracksuits and team wear and NF being the official supplier for long term contracts.

‘We have started completely from scratch, so it is quite uplifting to look back and see how far we have come.  Walking the dog around the park and noticing teams out in our kits will always make me feel proud and happy to know that the team love their team wear we have supplied.’

‘Giving something back to the clubs is important to us, so we always look to support our customers/clubs & teams with pitch side sponsoring/sponsored kits and offering other services for free to help.  We fully appreciate that for most the game we all love is voluntary and amounts to hours and hours of hard work!

Since the above was written in April 2021, the business has relocated to its new smart unit in Wymondham.  Paul says 'Only 5 months on, we were able to secure our new building where we have a fantastic training facility on the ground floor with the new showroom upstairs.  More space, allows a more professional set up which is required with our recent expansion, furthermore we have a very exciting 2022 coming up, being selected for the Future 50 programme, where they take the 50 most aspiring & promising companies from the area and follow for the next year.  Offering support, guidance, tuition and advertising to help push and promote our business as much as possible.'
