The Lizard Pastures, together with The Oxford, consists of approximately 45 acres of open land and is managed by The Lizard Charity as “a piece of informal, natural countryside for the general benefit and enjoyment of the people of Wymondham.” The Charity’s written documents go back over 200 years, although the public had the right to use the land for hundreds of years before that.
The Lizard is designated both a Conservation Area and a County Wildlife Site, and gives its name to the adjacent road.
Parking can be found just before the railway bridge at What3Words: ///remit.irritated.printout
The main Lizard pastures are a short walk from there, under the bridge, along the road to its end.
