Wymondham Heritage Society
Description
The Wymondham Heritage Society, a registered charity, has been much involved with the history and environment of the town for many years.
It is a local amenity society affiliated to the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) Norfolk and the Norfolk Rural Community Council and it also has a good relationship with the Town Council.
Through all these contacts it seeks to maintain and enhance the character of the historic market town of Wymondham and the surrounding countryside.
It also runs the Wymondham Heritage Museum and its members have a long track record of writing books and pamphlets on a variety of local historical themes which are sold in its shop and by local booksellers.
Each year, the Society also arranges a programme of talks by enthusiastic local historians.
For an annual subscription, you can become a member of the Society and friend of the museum. You will enjoy benefits such as an annual outing, free entry to the museum, regular newsletters, attend regular talks and many more.

The Bridewell Rooms Hire - Upstairs Meeting Space for Hire
Are you looking for a meeting space to hire in Wymondham for a meeting or private event?
The Bridewell Rooms are above Wymondham Heritage Museum with a separate entrance from Browick Road.
The larger, Bridewell Room, carpeted and with tall windows looking over the Bridewell garden, is available for community uses such as meetings and classes. Alternatively furniture can be arranged to create a small area within the room, often used for counselling.
The second, smaller, room is currently let out long-term, so is not available for casual hire.
A kitchenette and toilet are available for the users of either room.
Please be aware that the rooms are upstairs and that there is no car-parking at the Bridewell.
If you would like to know more, or to visit the room, please email the booking secretary at roomhire@thewhs.org.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.
